Here at Silvolutions, I use Solution Focused Psychotherapy combined with elements of hypnotherapy, NLP and CBT to support the sports psychology side of riding. The focus is always on what you want to achieve, rather than dwelling on what went wrong, so we work on practical strategies that help you perform, stay confident, and enjoy your riding more.
This approach helps you build mental tools for managing nerves, staying focused, and riding with more ease. You learn to harness your strengths, respond positively under pressure, and keep moving forward even when things feel challenging. I see clients online via Zoom, which makes therapy really flexible. You can join from home, the yard, or anywhere you feel comfortable — it’s practical, easy, and just as effective as being in the room.
With Solution Focused techniques, you’ll notice results relatively quickly. It’s about outcomes you can feel in the saddle: steadier rounds, calmer starts, and the confidence to step up a level knowing you’ve got the mental strength to match your skill.

I spent most of my working life in the military before moving into civilian life in my mid-30s. It wasn’t easy! It was messy, confusing, and sometimes overwhelming. After a few tough years, I finally reached out for help. My therapist was patient, practical, and kind, and it made a huge difference. Without that support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
That experience made me realise I wanted to help others in the same way. I trained, gained qualifications, and now get to do the work I love every day which is helping people make real, positive changes in their lives.
When I’m not with clients, you’ll usually find me outdoors. I love romping through the woods with my labradors, tending to ponies in the stables, or simply soaking up time by the sea now that I live on the coast. Staying grounded and calm in life is something I value and it’s something I bring into every session with clients.
